Jeanneret Wines was established in 1992 and is situated deep in the beautiful Skilly Hills south of the township of Clare. Ben Jeanneret is the winemaker/owner who with a small dedicated team produces 12,000 cases of hand crafted wine a year. Ben is passionate about his wine and the environment in which it is produced. He does not purchase grapes that are grown using water from the once mighty Murray River, as he believes it is an abuse of our limited water supply. He prefurs to source his fruit from growers of the old school, where the vines are hand pruned and grapes hand picked.

Ben believes his wines should reflect the quality and individual character of the vineyard, so all wine is kept in individual vineyard lots, blending just prior to bottling. During winemaking Ben encourages minimal handling of juice, allowing ferments to progress in a slow and easy matter.

From a very small beginning Jeanneret Wines is now one of the most respected producers in the Clare Valley, producing two of the most highly regarded Rieslings in the country, the DOOZIE and the BIG FINE GIRL. Ben is no mean hand at red production either, his Reserve Wines the DENIS Shiraz and the HUMMER Merlot stand up with the best is the country. If you are after something to drink now you won't be disappointed with his RANK AND FILE shiraz, DILLY DALLY Merlot or GRACE & FAVOUR Grenache Shiraz not to mention a few!
