Description

Small discreet batches of older Shiraz were selected then fermented in open topped vessels before pressing through a traditional basket press. Keeping all fruit parcels separate, the individual wines were each matured in a combination of new and older French and American small oak casks for 24 months before final blending.
A lovely broadness and weighted texture so common of McLaren Vale Shiraz with a degree of earthiness and spice, ripe coffee and mocha notes matched by firm tannins and charry oak giving the wine its roundness and palate persistence.
An ageing potential of at least 12 - 15 years with careful cellaring.
