Knappstein is steeped in the traditions of the Clare Valley.  As one of Australia’s oldest wine regions, it offers differing topography, geology and soils.  Its climate is defined by warm dry days and clear cold nights, conditions ideal for growing the premium fruit which shapes the unique quality of Knappstein’s Clare Valley wines.

We pride ourselves on the integrity of our wines and our lager.  We handcraft only the finest ingredients and have a philosophy of minimal intervention that is carried right through from our winery to our microbrewery. 

Our Bavarian style beer is produced in the original Enterprise Brewery built in the 1800’s and located alongside the historic Knappstein Winery.  The Enterprise Brewery Reserve Lager is our personal favourite.
