About this Cellar

The vineyards were originally planted in 1962 and subsequently incorporated into a functioning winery complex in 1985 by the present owner, winemaker and producer, Peter Houldsworth.

The plantings extend to some 10 hectares from 5 select vineyards in the Mintaro and Polish Hill district of the Clare Valley. Approximately one third is Riesling with the remainder equally divided into Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz varieties. The fruit is generally dry grown, hand picked, and the vines are hand pruned. The wines are all hand crafted using traditional methods with meticulous attention to detail.
